Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the busy capital of Iran. Visit the Golestan Palace and explore the miles-long corridors of the Tehran Grand Bazaar. Also see the National Museum of Iran.
Your Tehran tour continues today as well. Visit the Sadabad Palace Complex, built by the kings of Qajar and Pahlavi dynasties. Also see the Tajrish Bazaar and see Milad Tower, which probably is the most important landmark of the city.
Drive to Kashan and visit Tepe Sialk, an area where one of the most important prehistoric excavations in Iran took place. Also visit the UNESCO-listed Fin Garden and see the Tabatabaei House, Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse and the Aghabozorg Mosque. End your day in Kashan's historic bazaar.
Drive to Isfahan. Stop along the route to visit Abyaneh, a village in the mountains known for its distinctive red-mud houses. Reach Isfahan and check in at the hotel.
Start your Isfahan trip by visiting Naqsh-e Jahan Square, a UNESCO's World Heritage site. See the ornate architecture of the buildings surrounding the square, including the Imam Mosque (south), Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque (east) and Ali Qapu Palace (west). Head for the The Grand Bazaar of Isfahan and spend a couple of hours enjoying its diverse sights and sounds.
Continue your tour of Isfahan today. Visit the Jameh Mosque of Isfahan (a UNESCO World Heritage site) then move on to explore the beauty of Chehel Sotoun, a large pavilion in the middle of a park built for the entertainment of Shah Abbas II.
See its richly decorated walls with frescoes, miniatures and ceramics and walk in the palace garden. Head for Hasht Behesht, a small, Safavid-era surrounded by delightful gardens, next. End your day with a trip to Si-o-se-pol, an early 17th century bridge with 33 arches.
Drive out of the city to visit Menar-e-jomban (also known as Shaking Minarets). Continue along the road to reach Atashgah, a pre-Islamic complex and a fire temple. Head for the Bird Garden of Isfahan next and get familiar with a variety of avian species.
See the Holy Savior Cathedral, also known as Vank Cathedral, next before heading for the Isfahan Music Museum which has a collection of 300 traditional music instruments from all over the county. Enjoy a live performance on the spot.
Isfahan - Yazd via Meibod
Leave Isfahan for Yazd. Stop by the historical city of Meybod. See Narin Castle as well as Meybod Ice House before continuing your journey to Yazd. Stay overnight in Yazd.
Go out on a sightseeing tour of Yazd. Marvel at the wind-catching towers scattered throughout the city. Visit the main mosque as well as the Amir Chakhmaq Complex, Yazd Atash Behram (an important Zoroastrian fire temple) and the Towers of Silence, used for funerary purposes by the Zoroastrians.
Yazd - Shiraz
Drive to Shiraz next. Visit the UNESCO-listed Pasargadae, the capital of Cyrus the Great, en route. Also get the chance to explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Persepolis and Naqsh-e Rustam. Reach Shiraz and check in at your hotel.
See some of the major sights of Shiraz. Visit the Karim Khan Citadel and the Vakil Mosque among other places.
See the Nasir-ol-molk Mosque and Zinat Al-Moluk House. Visit the tombs of Hafez and Sa’adi, two of Iran's greatest poets and philosophers.
